You are doing these three things wrong in your HYROX training
And they are quietly costing you minutes on race day.
1. You are not running enough
HYROX is eight one kilometer runs broken up by stations. That means your aerobic system is stressed for sixty to ninety minutes straight. If running volume is low, your heart rate never recovers between stations and your pace collapses late. Strength does not save you when your aerobic base is underdeveloped.
2. You are lifting to get bigger, not stronger
Muscle size does not equal performance in HYROX. Hypertrophy focused training increases body mass without improving repeatable power. In this sport, strength means the ability to move load and immediately run fast after. That comes from lower rep ranges, longer rest, and separating strength from conditioning so you actually adapt.
3. You are not fueling properly
Under fueled training leads to slower runs, poor recovery, and stalled progress. Carbohydrates are not optional in a sport that...
