How to PR your next HYROX Doubles race Most teams lose time in doubles because they chase fairness instead of performance. If your goal is a personal best, your strategy needs to protect the runs and manage fatigue intelligently. Here is the simplest rule that works almost every time. Have the more fit athlete finish each station. The athlete who finishes the station goes straight into the next run. If your less fit partner finishes, they start that run already fatigued and pace drops immediately. That costs minutes over the course of the race. Have the more fit athlete do more total work on the stations. Shorter, harder bouts favor the athlete with better aerobic capacity and faster recovery.
