You’re doing too much HYROX training in your HYROX training.
This sounds backwards, but it’s one of the biggest reasons people stop improving.
Most athletes spend their entire week doing race simulations, AMRAPs, and mixed workouts without actually progressing anything. Same weights. Same distances. Same fatigue. Different day.
HYROX is a sport. Sports improve through progression, not constant testing.
If you are not tracking and progressing specific qualities, you are just repeating stress.
Here is what actually moves the needle.
Running progression
You need documented weekly mileage, repeatable run workouts, and clear pace targets. If your easy pace, threshold pace, or long run distance is not improving over time, your race pace will not improve either.
Strength progression
You should know your sled loads, carry loads, and key lifts and be intentionally improving force production or efficiency. Lifting just to survive workouts is not the same as building strength for race day....
