I don’t mean bad kids. I mean kids who are parented poorly. For me, families following permissive Parenting fall under this category.
Here’s our story:
My son was slapped by a classmate at school.
He didn’t hit back.
He went to his teacher… crying. 🥺
The teacher asked the girl to say sorry.
She didn’t.
Next day she abused him, threatened to hit him again & said,
“You’re a bad boy.”
He came home crying and said,
“Mumma, I’m a bad boy. I don’t want to go to school.”
And my heart shattered. 💔
I told him —
“You did the RIGHT thing.”
“You don’t need everyone’s friendship.”
“You are kind, brave & loved.”
Unpopular opinion:
I don’t want my child to be friends with kids who are parented poorly.
Kindness starts at home.
I don’t want my child growing up thinking bad behaviour is normal or acceptable.
Kind kids deserve kind spaces.
To every mom raising gentle, emotionally strong kids — I see you.
We’re doing something right.
What do you think 🤔???
