HYROX Chicago 2025 Race Recap I went into this race with one goal. Break sixty minutes. I believed I had it in my legs, in my lungs, and in my training. I crossed the line in 1 hour 1 minute and 42 seconds. A strong effort, but short of the standard I set for myself. Rank 12 overall. Rank 2 in my age group. Pro division Sunday race. Good results, but not the one number I wanted most. Here is what the data shows. My Garmin had me averaging a heart rate of 152 with a max of 207. More than thirty five minutes in Zone 4. That is threshold work from start to finish. This was not a blow up. It was sustained pressure. The aerobic training effect was 4.2 which means the race fully challenged VO2 and threshold. Anaerobic load was low at 1.3 which shows the race stayed controlled on the effort side. I was running the plan. I was on pace halfway through. The run data tells the truth. I could not hold the run speed I needed after station five. That is the difference between 61 minutes and 59...
