HYROX training advice no one wants to hear. You need to run more. Most athletes think HYROX is about the stations. The sleds. The burpees. The wall balls. The truth is simple. Running makes up half the race and controls the entire outcome. If your running is not strong, nothing else matters. Running builds aerobic capacity which is the engine that recovers your heart rate after every station. It improves efficiency so each lap costs less energy. It raises your threshold which allows you to hold race effort longer without slowing down. And it builds durability which keeps your form together late in the race when everything starts to slip. Here are my three favorite HYROX runs each week. One. Threshold work Examples include eight one kilometer repeats or four one mile repeats.
