Three things that make or break your HYROX race day
1. Show up early
Arrive at least two hours before your start time. Check in, find your lane, walk the course, and understand flow and transition spacing. The more familiar you are with the setup, the lower your stress response before the start.
2. Bring your fuel
Eat a light, balanced meal three to four hours before the race with moderate carbs, low fat, low fiber, and some protein.
Then bring your race fuel. Have your pre race carbs ready 30 to 45 minutes out, and your intrarace fuel planned if your event runs longer than 75 minutes. Most athletes perform best with 30 to 60 grams of carbohydrate per hour from simple sources like gels or drinks.
3. Have a structured warm up
Do not wing it.
The goal is to raise core temperature, activate movement patterns, and prime your nervous system without wasting energy.
