Its all about the details! If you really want lean manufactured highest quality design as a pedal designer, you have to think outside the box! Here is some out of the box thinking… Machine standoff into enclosure that acts as PCB stabiliser improving reliability and making it mechanically robust while doubling it up as a PCB grounding point to the chassis! You can see here how the chassis is machined from Solid aluminium, not using low price / quality Hammond type enclosures. I have nothing against those but you a) cant anodise them b) adequately laser engrave c) sandblast them d) they are made from recycled low quality aluminium. Standardisation of size does not have to mean standardisation of enclosure. Design an enclosure that fits your customers needs like quality, reliability, function at a reasonable. Its possible!
