First whale shot 🙌🐳 . If you’re into whales and wondering where you can see them at this time of the year, I have your answer. Just past Hermanus, is a quiet town called Die Kelders. Die Kelders is a coastal village known for its natural caves and, yes, you guessed it, whale watching. I shot this video at the end of November when pods of whales visited us every day for over a week until we returned to Cape Town. I have no doubt they are still here. . Seeing whales from the coastline is one thing, but being able to fly my drone right above them is something else. That’s when you can see the details on their faces and the textures on their skins. They would swim on their backs and roll around each other- it was really cute to watch. . It took me almost two 30-minute flights to fly my drone to them because what looked like a close distance was actually a lot further than I expected.
