Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office is proud of the remarkable women within our agency who dedicate themselves to serving and protecting the community.
According to
30X30initiative.org, women represent less than 14% of sworn officers and 20% of recruits in law enforcement, which has a negative impact on public safety. The 30×30 Initiative strives for a minimum of 30% female representation in policing by 2030, recognizing that this can significantly influence organizational culture.
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office has already surpassed this goal, with 47% female staff and 50 women holding uniformed leadership roles, including 32 Sergeants, 12 Captains, 4 Majors, and 2 Chiefs.
