Today, we are crowning Emmy-nominated songwriter Jeannie Lurie as our #QueenoftheWeek 👑 Before she became the writer behind a collection of iconic Disney Channel hits, Lurie started songwriting as a hobby in high school. She described her school as artsy, noting the club she was a part of where students wrote musicals was where she worked on her very first show. Despite this experience, songwriting wasn’t initially on Lurie’s career agenda. She went to college to study English and Spanish, but after moving to Los Angeles following graduation, she found herself taking music classes and working on projects with friends, which ultimately opened the door to her future as a hitmaker.
