My tips for location scouting:
1) Explore the area around you. You don’t have to search for locations that are a 2-3 hour drive away. Most of the time there are hidden places right in front of you but without looking actively you probably didn’t recognize them
2) Use Google or Apple Maps with the satellite imagery - Zoom in on the city you live in and search for green areas in or outside of your town
3) Be on the lookout for locations even when you’re not actively searching for them at the moment. I discovered many of my locations on walks with a friend or while driving to my grandparents house
4) Save locations you like with a location pin (I use the WhatsApp location tool for this haha)
5) Come back at a later point in time to your saved locations if they are not what you need right now for your project. Often they change very quickly so you might find it in a cool new ‘condition’ a few weeks later
