"Coolibah" For the last 2 years I have been living on and off in Scone renovating a 1970s "fixer upper" Here is a video montage of some before and after pics. It came with a 1970's orange veneer kitchen, lots of cockroaches, 3 layers of dirty old carpet and, tired linoleum and orange brick. It certainly involved a huge amount of sweat, lots of tears and a little bit of blood on my part. I worked hard and the physicality of the job taught me discipline. I now know how to use power tools , including an angle grinder, impact driver and even had a go on a post digger. At times I could not see the end to this "project" Despite the frustrations my Scone home is now complete and with it a huge amount of satisfaction. I love the peaceful town of Scone and I love the home I have created. I also had time to paint the landscapes of the area and 4 of them are currently hanging at the regional gallery in Muswellbrook.
