Lion Island. Oil on recycled paper support. . I have been experimenting making my own recycled paper board to paint on. I collect my discarded paper including paper packaging, cardboard, bills, unwanted artwork and any other discarded household paper, rip up the paper into small pieces and soak in a bucket of water. I then add some water based glue, blend with a stick mixer, squeeze out the excess water, press the pulp into a cookie tray and bake in a slow oven until dry. The finished product is a sturdy and lightweight painting support.
