Breakaway was always one of our favourites to play live even though, for some reason, it never made many setlists. Whenever we did play it, though, it absolutely went off. I got the chance to lean into a proper blues grunge solo, and Carlton would pull out every stop he had… those moments where he’d just take off behind the kit are some of my favourite memories of being in this band. The new remixed version brings his drumming right to the front clearer, heavier, more alive and hearing it again hit us straight in the chest.
