As I was scrolling through social media yesterday, I was reminded of the Mail & Guardian 200 Young South Africans list people shaping a brighter tomorrow. I remembered that I made the list for Technology, and it hit me how often I forget the awards and recognition I’ve received while building. I tend to live on autopilot the day after an award, I’m already on to the next challenge, barely pausing to acknowledge the moment. Today, I just want to step back and be grateful. Grateful for the journey, for the recognition so far, and for the privilege of doing work I love.
