One of the best things that I love about being a dad is having the ability to teach my children the skills of life. When I grew up, we were fortunate enough to have a family farm, where my dad taught us the exact same lessons. How to drive, how to rope a horse, how to fish, how to ride a dirt bike, how to bail hay, and yes… how to properly drink beer in a river. I always thought I would enjoy being a father, but never really understood how special it truly would be. As I sit here today, trying my best to live life in the moment, I realize that being a dad is the most important job that any person could ever have. I truly feel as if it’s my purpose. Taking one tree and trying to build the forest by replacing it with better,bigger, stronger trees is the ultimate goal.
