I received a donation for Haiti this morning from a friend who wishes to be anonymous. The gift was very sizable but the message it came along with it was even more impactful. When I had the conversation with this person stated that the gift of giving should not be done because of tax purposes at the end of the year but rather the gift of giving should be because you believe in the cause itself and you want to help. . This man is a good man. . One i respect a great deal. . He specifically wanted to donate the morning of Jan 1 because the gift is simply just that... . A gift. . A true intention. .
