Maslee is scattered with monuments and visual works created in homage to it, celebrating the accomplishments of the Vidyans who once lived here. Their achievements are etched into stone, metal and light, spread across the planet’s surface like a fragmented archive. From time to time, the Order activates these systems, not for ceremony, but maintenance. To make sure they still run. That memory still has power. Occasionally, and somewhat unexpectedly, one hears the echo of a secondary consciousness waking. A deep, horn-like sound rolling across the plains, as if the planet itself has exhaled. Yaral, the consciousness that occupies the Central House of Structure, is among the more welcoming. It doesn’t seem to mind the disturbance. Every few years, the Order checks in on it, quietly assessing its state, exchanging a few words, then gently bidding it good night once more.
