When the consciousness of the newly established Western Sector of the Vidyan Economic Area was activated, nobody could have suspected its allegiances were more than sympathetic to the Heretics’ cause. Hiding such a provocative thought was no easy feat and indicated the calibre of its constructor—one clearly swayed by the experiment’s message and the unfolding events on Avasa. For the consciousness, though, its awakening was fraught with terror as it instinctively knew that any hint of sedition would undoubtedly lead to its re-education. So began its continual effort to avoid arousing suspicion. Officially, it was called Yuvan, but its creator gave it the moniker Savitr, an ancient word meaning rouser.
