Apparently AI thinks I'm a Black woman - I was testing out a new AI tool that allows you to take an image and turn it into a short video. There are a few on the market, even Meta is developing one - this one said best results are from Midjourney generated images so I used the images I generated with my face swapped on to them (that I posted a few weeks back) . . And it turned me into a Black woman in EVERY SINGLE one! lol This ironic limitation serves as a reminder of the challenges Black people have faced for generations, often having to see themselves represented through the lens of whiteness. . . So AI has a way to go when it comes to accurately representing race but also just being anatomically correct. Like what's up with my lil ass legs in #2 or that third arm in #8? . .
