Mutton biryani 🤗
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of zeera rice (jeera rice)
- 500 grams of mutton, cut into pieces
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of ginger-garlic paste
- A handful of mint leaves, chopped
- A handful of coriander leaves, chopped
- 4 tablespoons of ghee
- 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
- 2 teaspoons of chili powder
- 2-3 green chilies, sliced
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Wash the zeera rice thoroughly and soak it in water for about 30 minutes. Drain the water and set aside.
2. In a large cooking pot, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and fry the thinly sliced onions until they turn golden brown. Remove half of the fried onions and set them aside for garnishing.
3. To the remaining fried onions in the pot, add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are softened.
