The Prophet ﷺ said: “Allah created one hundred parts of mercy. He kept ninety-nine parts with Him and sent down one part to the earth. Because of that one part, the creation shows mercy to one another – even a horse lifts its hoof over its young so it does not harm it.” - Sahih Muslim (2752) Also reported in Sahih al-Bukhari. Think about this for a moment. The love of a mother for her child, the kindness between people, and even animals protecting their babies - all of it comes from just one part of Allah’s mercy that was sent to the earth. The other 99 parts of mercy are kept by Allah for the Day of Judgment. If the compassion we see in the entire world comes from only 1% of His mercy, imagine how vast Allah’s mercy will be when we stand before Him. Never lose hope in Allah’s forgiveness.
