Simplicity at the Table – A Sunnah Worth Reviving The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lived a life of beautiful simplicity - even at the dining table. He often ate only what was available: dates, bread, vinegar, or a single dish. He never insisted on variety, nor did he eat to excess. He said: “The son of Adam does not fill a vessel worse than his stomach…” - [Tirmidhi] Islam doesn’t forbid enjoying different dishes, but it strongly discourages extravagance and waste. Allah says: “Eat and drink, but do not be excessive. Surely, He does not like the extravagant.” - [Qur’an 7:31] One dish, eaten with gratitude, is better than a table full of food eaten without remembrance. Let’s revive the Sunnah of moderation - starting at home. #SunnahLifestyle #SimpleLiving #Gratitude #PropheticTradition #EatWithPurpose
