Watching you grow to be the gentleman you are has been the highlight of our lives ❤️ Tinned pineapple Cherries 3 tbsp sugar A blob of melted butter (gosh I wing recipes but I'd say 2 tbsp) This is for the pineapple top Cake batter 2 eggs 1 1/2 cup maida 2 tsp baking powder 1 cup castor sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup of the juice from the pineapple tin (to add more of a pineapple flavor) Seive the maida, baking powder and salt and set aside In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, sugar, oil, vanilla Add in the dry ingredients and give it a little mix In goes the milk and pineapple juice In a baking dish, pour the melted butter and dust the sugar over it so that it coats evenly Arrange pineapple slices neatly and tuck a cherry into all the gaps Pour the cake batter over this and bake at 180C for about 30 to 35 minutes Old school g...
