My journey to get a Sociology degree and learn about social justice has been a big learning experience. I've faced tough and good times. When I started studying sociology, I knew I'd learn about society's problems. But I didn't realize how much they'd affect me personally. I've always wanted to help people, but I didn't know what I wanted to focus on. During college, I realized I've been dealing with discrimination for a long time without even knowing it. The pandemic made things harder, especially for students with disabilities like me. Even though universities are supposed to help students with disabilities, there are still lots of challenges. We need to make sure everyone, no matter their abilities, gets treated fairly. My experiences have made me passionate about standing up for people with disabilities.
