This year has been heavy. Heavy for me personally, heavy for my teammates & this club, and heavy for this league. Injuries and adversity are tough in sports, but so many things can be learned through having to persevere, navigate unknowns, and finding strength where you weren’t sure if you had any left. Every year is a different chapter in the book, while this one was one of the hardest for me it’s still a part of the story. I’ve grown in ways that I am not even sure how to put into words yet, but I trust in a God who works all things together for my good. He never promised it would be easy, but that He directs my steps. I rest in that truth.
The one thing I wholeheartedly love about futbol and our job is the friendships I create. Without my teammates and friends, I wouldn’t have been able to get through the year and everything that’s happened surrounding our team. They are the reason I have loved my time in Chicago and have made the past few years enjoyable despite a lot of darkness...
