People always ask, “Where do you train without a track?”
This is where the magic happened…. a push track in Bath.
The start is the most important part of bobsleigh. It’s where races are won. So we made it our bread and butter.
During my competitive years, we became one of the fastest crews in the world, and that wasn’t by accident.
At one point, we had the 2nd and 3rd fastest 100m athletes in British history in the squad. That created depth. It created standards. It created pressure.
We battled each other relentlessly at national push championships. The internal competition was so fierce that by the time we came together for the season, we were collectively on a different level.
