As someone who has been in the photography industry for a while now, I am always asked by other photographers why clients back out the moment they send their pricing. Is it because they’re too expensive? Should they mention that they provide discounts to special clients? No. Because it’s not your pricing that’s the problem, it’s THE WAY you’re delivering that pricing that might be pushing them away. Here are some common mistakes I see photographers making: 👉 Sending it via email You’re probably thinking that this isn’t a big deal at all, but it makes a difference in how your brand is perceived. Instead of sending pricing typed out in an email, send them a pricing guide instead! It will send the message that you’re professional, serious about your business, and clearly explain your value and next steps. 👉 Not providing or showing the value of your services before sending the pricing If someone asks you for your pricing, and you just send over the list without any additional mess...
