Sometimes a single idea will ruminate with you for hours, days, or weeks, until it finally morphs into its final form. While composing my upcoming premiere with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, I invited Matt Lima lima_ito to drop into my studio and capture a few composing sessions. This turned out to be a very raw and vulnerable process as we decided against me interacting with the camera or explaining/teaching.
