No one really prepares you for this part of an ADHD diagnosis…❤️🩹
Not just the relief but the grief.
The anger. The “what ifs.”
Post-diagnosis can feel heavy before it feels freeing. Suddenly your past makes sense… and that can be confronting. You might grieve the support you never had, the version of you that was just trying to survive, the years spent feeling “too much” or “not enough.”
If you’re in that stage right now unpacking, unlearning, feeling lost in your identity please know this: nothing about your reaction is wrong.
This is part of integration. Part of healing.
Over time, with knowledge, self-compassion, and community, things can shift. Confusion can turn into clarity. Shame into understanding. Survival into self-belief.
And if this reel found you at the messy middle - you’re not behind, broken, or alone. You’re becoming 💛✨
