✉️ Hyping myself up to write a 5-minute email… that I’ve avoided for 2 months. Classic ADHD move. Also known as task paralysis (a form of executive dysfunction). Even the tiniest tasks can feel overwhelming, not because they’re hard, but because our brains perceive them as mountains instead of molehills. 🗻 👉 It’s not laziness. It’s how ADHD brains process initiation, motivation, and overwhelm. Tips that help me that might help you: ✨ 🕣 Give it a time: Identify the actual time it will take, say it out loud/write it down, your brain will literally go - oh! It can make it seem so much more doable. ✨ 👞 Micro-steps: Breaking it down into tiny, manageable actions ✨ 📖 The ‘little jobs’ list: I keep a little notebook of small tasks. When I have 10 spare minutes, I flick through and tick something off. The novelty makes it feel more fun, and that little dopamine hit helps!
