Liquidity Providers (LPs) are all LPs; the difference lies only in the depth of liquidity, market access, and connectivity technology.
LP Tiers
1. Tier 1 — Major Banks and Hedge Funds: The primary liquidity providers with the deepest market access and interbank connectivity.
2. Tier 2 — Large Liquidity Providers: Institutions that aggregate and refine liquidity, then distribute it to brokers and other financial entities.
3. Tier 3 — Smaller Providers for Retail Brokers: Smaller LPs or local market makers that source liquidity from higher tiers and deliver it to retail brokers.
