🪸🐠 I was in the mood to create an underwater coral inspired colour palette. So I used the new amaran Ray 660c, an OmniColor light (which means the colours are super accurate) which I shaped with a softbox, and placed it behind diffusion paper to get that ultra soft blue glow in the background.
👉 The thing is, when you’re pushing light through that much diffusion, you need serious output to keep it bright and luminous, and the Ray 660 is super powerful and bright, so it’s perfect for large soft light sources.
💡Next I brought in the Ray360c (also OmniColor) set to a super saturated magenta, which gave that pink glow to the arrangement and to the haze hanging in the air.
🧠 Something I’ve learned: when you work with highly saturated colours like this, they naturally emit less brightness compared to white light. So having fixtures with strong colour performance and output becomes critical to pulling off a super saturated look 💙🩷
