✋👌🤏Another handtracking project made in TouchDesigner! For this one, I used a 3D scan of an artichoke flower and applied a few techniques I’ve picked up recently. Most notably, using the ‘switch TOP’ and also creating chromatic aberration with the RGB delay component. Big thanks to ‘Supermarket Sallad’ simondavidryden on YouTube for that tutorial, I also grabbed some loops off Splice and referenced them to my hand gestures so the sounds were triggered with the movement. 🧠 I’ve been pushing myself to do one of these weekly, and it’s paying off because I’m starting to wrap my brain around the hand-tracking data in the MediaPipe component and how to use it. There’s something so satisfying about reaching that point where you start to grasp the ‘why’ behind the technical stuff, not just the ‘how.’ It feels good to know that each time I make one, I reference the tutorials less and less.
