📸 Today was a much-needed, fun, creative day after a week that felt like a total slog. I owe it to Sister Corita Kent, a nun and artist known for her bold, joyful Pop Art. 📖 I learned about her this week and her “Rules for Creatives”, and these two rules helped me turn a really crap creative week into a good one: 👉Rule 4: Consider everything an experiment. 👉Rule 8: Don’t try to create and analyse at the same time. 💭 All week, I’d been creating and critiquing simultaneously, which totally stunted my creativity. But today, I took the pressure off, blasted some psychedelic rock music, and just experimented. 👉If you’re in a weird, creative place, look up Sister Corita Kent. Her work is incredible. I’m planning to print her rules and hang them in my studio.
