💡For the longest time, all I wanted were some professional photography strobes. But I couldn’t afford them. So, I made do with a couple of desklamps and smart LED bulbs controlled by my phone. I shot everything on a tripod with long exposures.
👉 The day I got my first ‘real’ light, it was like a door opened to a new world of possibilities. But (it should come as no surprise) I quickly felt that one light wasn’t enough, so I combined everything I had, mixing my new strobe with the desklamps and still shooting on long exposure.
🖼️ I really wish I had more photos of me using these really janky setups. Some of them were so scrappy, I grew the most during that period and had a really great time learning along the way.
Sometimes, working with less really does teach you more.
