Over the past year, I’ve been creating mostly to stay visible and get work. And yeah, it did what it needed to do. But after a while, that pace drains you.
For a lot of my freelance journey, I was creating to prove something, that I’m skilled, that I’m capable, that I can bring ideas to life for brands. It was pure survival mode, especially early on when opportunities weren’t landing the way I hoped. So I kept pushing.
Last week was the first time in a minute where I had space to slow down. And instead of forcing more content, I decided to make something for myself again.
Making these renders reminded me I’m an artist first, designer / content creator second.
I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I just needed to remind myself that I can still create things I genuinely feel, without pressure, without a goal attached, just pure creativity. Honestly it was very refreshing.
This is Environment 1 of 3. More on the way.
