I kept catching myself complaining on autopilot.
Now, I’m testing 5 steps for 30 days to stop it:👇
Complaining drains our energy and our focus:
→ Into negativity.
→ Into what’s wrong.
→ Into someone we wouldn’t want to be around.
Even small things like:
→ “Ugh, raining again.”
→ “No time.”
→ “This meeting is so slow.”
It’s a never-ending loop.
The more we complain, the more we find to complain about.
So I’m experimenting:
What happens when I intentionally reduce complaints to protect my mental energy.
Here are 5 tangible steps I’m trying:
1️⃣ Create awareness
→ Note every complaint
→ Label: internal or external
2️⃣ Pause the impulse
→ Breathe and observe
→ Ask: “Does this help?” If not, move on.
3️⃣ Reframe your perspective
→”This is unfair.” → “What can I control?”
4️⃣ Find your real need
→ What do I actually need: rest, clarity, support?
5️⃣ Redirect with gratitude
→ “One thing that’s working today is…”
