You can have a thousand plans.
But one health problem changes everything.
This was going to be my reset week.
Silent retreat in France 🇫🇷 I planned a year ago.
Two hours before arriving, I broke my ankle in a parking lot.
Just like that basic things became big challenges:
→ Getting dressed is a mission.
→ Showering? A full production.
→ Commitments? Let’s just say… postponed.
→ Getting medical help abroad? A mix of gestures, Google Translate, and hoping the best.
It’s wild how quickly your priorities shift when walking becomes a luxury.
The only goal now? Get through the day, pain-free.
I had imagined this summer to be about slowing down, learning, growing.
And maybe… it still is.
Just not in the way I planned.
This experience is already teaching me:
✅ Healing needs time and patience.
✅ Health isn’t something to “optimize later.”
✅ Gratitude starts with what you CAN still do.
✅ Accepting over resisting brings more peace.
✅ Even from a quiet place, I can still show up an...
