Slowing down is the biggest luxury. This year, I traveled to one of the most remote, quiet, and stunning places in Italy: Salina I now understand why it’s becoming such a favorite. Here’s what I did to disconnect: 1. Woke up with the sunrise. The calm mornings helped reset my circadian rhythm and set a peaceful tone for the day. 2. Ate whole, local foods. Fresh tomatoes, olives, and capers kept things simple, nourishing, and satisfying. 3. Moved after meals. Short walks after eating made me feel light and present while soaking in the beautiful views. 4. Embraced stillness and nature. The silence was cleansing—just birds, waves, and the occasional chatter of locals. Paired with the island’s raw landscapes, it felt like therapy for my mind and body. 5.
