The lidar-scanner is what separated the iphone 12 pro from the regular models last year and also this year the „light detection and ranging“ is exklusive to the #iphone13pro and #iphone13promax. What it does, is mapping whatever is in front of your camera in real-time by sending out waves of light pulses - invisible to the human eye, they can only be seen with a night vision camera. This „invisible magic“ gives the iphone‘s camera the power to focus far more percisely than any other smartphone camera.
