#4. On the fourth day of my stay, I had a massage plus steam, lepanam , and virechanam. Virechanam is already a new treatment procedure.
Virechanam, also known as Virechana, is one of the Panchakarma therapies in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine. It involves therapeutic purgation or cleansing of the bowels to remove toxins (ama) from the body. This treatment aims to balance the Pitta dosha, which is associated with fire and bile in the body.
