In 2021, in the middle of a pandemic lockdown, I decided to sell my Toronto house and move across the country to build a custom home on the lake in Kelowna, BC.
No friends or family there. Building a house from scratch. In a lockdown.
Everyone thought I was crazy.
Was it scary? Absolutely. Terrifying.
But I knew in my heart it was the right thing.
I had a dream. And I wasn’t going to let anyone hold me back.
And then something incredible happened.
After I made the decision, women entrepreneurs started appearing in my life. Existing friends resurfaced and moved there too.
All showing me I was on the right path.
Because every time I’d land in Kelowna, I’d have tears streaming down my face.
I was home. I was safe. I was protected.
And that feeling - that vision - got me through some of the scariest and darkest days of my life.
