More rehab doesn’t always equal better.
At Pro-Form, we’ve discovered over the many years of prescribing rehab plans how easy it is to over-prescribe and the consequences it has on patients recovery. And it’s not good!
Going hard on your rehab will not get you a quicker outcome. Stretch too far and you’ll tear a muscle. Land too heavy too frequently and you might break a bone. Add too much weight and you’ll pull something.
Finding the minimal effective dose for rehab is equally important as your training. In fact, too much rehab can fatigue muscles so much so that you have nothing left in the tank to get quality training in, with the intensity and intention that’s needed.
The best thing you can do is conduct your own scientific experiments. Try some drills, observe how it feels and keep the ones that are working for you and ditch the rest.
Always listen to your body and watch out for the warning signs in this video!
