Our impromptu visit to gettymuseum yesterday (Sunday), which was mostly an excuse to get us out of the house and see some art and a little bit of sunlight. We just had time to check out the Lumen Exhibit coincidentally, which is all about the art, science and history of light. Lots of cool stuff including original drawings by Copernicus and Johannes Kepler. 🤯 I also fuckin love illuminated manuscripts and there were many. They even have a reliquary with one of John the Baptist’s teeth (still baffled by that one). But I really liked how most of the exhibit was centered around religious and spiritual aspects of light- and touched on the idea of light rays as a direct line with the supernatural (definitely how I feel sometimes). I don’t think Ronin had quite the same appreciation just yet, but his interest in art that actually used light was pretty cool. Anyways- we enjoyed the exhibit, and a little bit of sunlight afterwards to connect with the supernatural. 🥸🤘💜 #lumen #lightmeupgod
