Being an artist comes with a few quiet cons that we do not always talk about.
Here are the ones that seem to show up the most for me.
1.Doubt
Not the loud dramatic kind, but the small familiar whisper that arrives right when you finally feel confident. It questions every brushstroke, every idea, every instinct you thought you trusted. And the worst part is how normal it starts to feel.
2. Loneliness
Creating is beautiful, but it is also isolating. You spend hours in your own head, chasing colors, fixing mistakes, trying to translate something you feel into something someone else can see. Even when you love it, it can still feel like you are the only one doing it.
3. Caring too much.
You give real pieces of yourself to work that most people will only experience for a few seconds. You attach meaning to things others might scroll past without ever knowing how much of you is in it. That imbalance can be heavy.
