24 hours in Hiroshima & Kyoto… Deeply moving to visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum - designed in 1955 by Kenzo Tange, one of Japan’s most influential architects, who also created the surrounding Peace Memorial Park. The raw concrete structure blends international modernist style with traditional Japanese sensibility, standing as both a brutalist landmark and a solemn space of remembrance. It honors the victims of the atomic bombing and calls for peace across generations. Sadly, after all these years, we are still in urgent need of peace in today’s world 🙏 #givepeaceachance✌️
