New beer alert! The German cousin to our much-loved Prova Pils is RED ELECTRIC, a new amber lager, or if you prefer, a "red." Simply a smooth, drinkable, malty golden amber lager with a light honey character, named for Newberg's famed electric (!) train that used to serve Portland 5x a day, 100 years ago (why can't we have nice things?). Low bitterness gives the flavor a slightly malty balance with a dry, clean finish. This beer is made primarily with Eraclea pilsner malt from the Italian Adriatic Coast and German Perle hops for an unobtrusive floral / spicy aroma. Naturally tank-carbonated in the old German way.
