Introducing KRIEK ELECTRIQUE, a.k.a. Glühkriek, a traditional mulled holiday ale originating in Belgium, which is served hot and traditionally garnished with cinnamon, cloves, and an orange slice, among other goodies! This wonderful version, released in collaboration with Cascade brewing, one of only a few breweries in the world to preserve and protect this style, is a blend of 14 month-old pale and red barrel aged ales aged on both Bing and Montmorency cherries and sweetened with raw local honey, and then kept cold in the cellar but served piping hot through a special heating apparatus at the bar, in an insulated mug (unless we run out of those). Choose your own spices (shown are dried orange slice, juniper berries, star anise, cloves, cinnamon stick), gather around the fire pit, and let’s celebrate good old traditions and warm-hearted people.
